“Pink” is the New White!
In a month’s time, “Undas“(All Soul’s Day) will be celebrated in the Philippines. And in the Filipino culture, this public holiday is more than just remembering their dead. The occasion also serves as a family gathering and a reunion of sorts.
A Different Mourning
In a conservative, predominantly Catholic Asian society such as the Philippines, death and mourning is handled in a solemn natural way similar to most. Funerals are characterised by the traditional white coffins and surrounded by flowers with accompanying ceremonies fit for the dead.
But St. Peter Life Plan and Chapels thought that funerals need not always be sad. There should be options. There are people who do wish for a happy funeral instead. One one way of being able to do this is by putting some color into it.
Why not forgo of the usual plain white coffins and have a pink one instead? Why not, right?
They have offered this as an option in their list of memorial plans for several years now; in addition to their other equally well-known out-of-the box ideas such as the e-Burol (online viewing) and e-Libing (online interment).
To the unfamiliar, St. Peter Life Plan, Inc. is a Pre-Need DeathCare Company that offers affordable traditional memorial life plans to all segments of society. Since 1970, it has maintained its leadership and excelled in its role as DeathCare Experts in the DeathCare Services Industry through the continuous development of its wide range of memorial products and services attuned to the changing needs of Philippine society.
Death Care Week
With the upcoming All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s Day less than a month away, St. Peter Life Plan and Chapels invites the public to join the Death Care Week happening from October 27 to November 2, 2017.
In a press briefing with select bloggers held at Blue Rocket Cafe in Quezon City last Septemeber 29, 2017, it was revealed it is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Service Program that aims to promote awareness on Death Care planning and preparation.
Activities leading to the Death Care Week start as early as today – October 1 and will culminate on November 2, All Souls’ Day.

Moreover, just for fun, pink standing casket replicas will be on display at the St. Peter Pink Tents in selected cemeteries nationwide where anyone can take their photos inside. You might also get free hands fans and umbrellas as giveaways for taking the dare!
Finally, there will be thanksgiving mass on October 29, Sunday at the Talitha Kum Healing Mass broadcasted on television – 8am in the PTV4 network.
