Greenwich & Bloggers in a Fun Night of Barkada Rockeoke
Business tapping social media and bloggers is not a rare thing anymore even in the Philippines. Brands like home-grown pizza chain Greenwich is already aware of the increasing influence of online media and social networks to their target customers.
In this light, I would just like to share this particular recent event hosted by Greenwich in a fun night of rockeoke at their Katipunan branch.
[Rockeoke = think karaoke but with a live band]
The event opened with the host introducing Greenwich’s newest member of the family – Ms. Cookie Cabrera – to the bloggers. She is Greenwich’s new PR and Corp. Affairs Manager.
It was followed by a generous serving of Greenwich’s latest offerings featuring their Spaghetti Supreme.
There were also other dishes from their menu.
And finally, the fun night started with the Rocckeoke performances from different participants and bloggers. Greenwich and the PR team were no ‘kill joy‘ and participated in the singing as well.
You don’t see these executives do these kind of things quite often right? So I say it was really an honest-to-goodness enjoyable night!
A talented Greenwich staff who serviced us that night also rendered his own heart-felt version of a song number. He was even being teased “i-promote na yan!”
I have been to a number of events since 2008 and organized some myself for a number of brands. What I particularly noticed in this Greenwich media event is the event’s light focus on the brand or featured food. It was just a night intended for camaraderie and fun. There were no formal introduction of the food or questions & answers like those from a presscon. It was just a night of having fun with the Greenwhcih team and friends, just like a ‘barkada‘.
I liked the new Spaghetti Supreme as well. I first thought that it will just be a spin-off of the Jollibee spaghetti when they revealed that it will be on the sweet side. It turned out to be true but not as sweet (which is a good thing for differentiation) and a lot cheesier. And of course, my favorite garlic stick to complement the spaghetti, stays. Check them out at http://www.greenwich.com.ph/ ; Greenwich delivery is 5-5555.
Kudos and more blessings to the Greenwich team and their newest head honcho- Ms. Cookie Cabrera. Greenwich was also my food and venue sponsor when we celebrated my NomNom Club food blog during it’s 1st Anniversary almost two years ago.
