Philippine Blog Awards 2010 Winners’ List
On its fourth year, the Philippine Blog Awards (PBA) returns to its home – the RCBC building in Makati. With the theme of Beyond Blogging, I took notice of what the guest speaker Manolo Quezon III pointed out.
This is regarding the notion that the blogging community is fragmented. More appropriately, he suggests that the blogging community is instead, “diverse.”
With the variety of blogger niche and passions ranging from travel to food, and politics to entertainment (which can be argued to be not too different), the blogosphere is indeed “diverse.”
Here is a video clip of his talk two nights ago at the Philippine Blog Awards 2010.
The Winners
This is my third attended PBA. I always enjoy seeing old friends and meeting new faces in the industry. It serves as a blogging conference of sorts. Time flies so fast, winning last year’s GeiserMaclang‘s “Transformative Influencer Award” for Sago was still fresh.
On the other hand, I hope to win one of those category awards someday; maybe next year if I would not miss the nomination period again.
This year’s winners are a mix bag of familiar names and new ones. Most significant is the award-sweep by Yoshke Dimen of Yoshke.com who did not only received the most number of awards that night, two out of three can be considered the top 2 awards being Best Single Blog Post for 2010 and Best Personal Blog. He truly deserves it. A big congratulations to Yoshke, my roommate when we went to the Nuffnang Singapore Blog Awards last year.
Congratulations to all the winners and they are the following (Source:PBA):
