Pioneer Insurance Conferred WELL GOLD Pre-certification for Pioneer House BGC

Pioneer Insurance was recently awarded the WELL Gold precertification for the 25-story eco-friendly Pioneer House BGC building being constructed in BGC.

WELL Certification is a global rating system, developed by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) and run by Green Business Certification, Inc. (GBC) that evaluates the performance of buildings toward sustainability, health, and well-being.

In a letter, GBC President and CEO Peter Templeton congratulated Pioneer and highlighted the importance of the WELL Precertification.

The WELL Precertification designates the intent of Pioneer House BGC to achieve WELL Certification and demonstrates Pioneer’s leadership in transforming health and well-being in the spaces where people spend their time,” Templeton wrote.

Pioneer’s Head of Real Estate Development and Management Department, Jeremy Coyukiat, said the WELL precertification, along with the building’s progress towards obtaining a LEED Gold certification, will bring Pioneer House BGC a step closer to becoming a world-class commercial development at the very heart of the BGC business district.

We are happy to receive the WELL Gold precertification. With this, future building occupants will experience enhanced wellness features such as optimal levels of lighting and acoustics, fresh air and air purification, 600+ sqm of gardens among others,” Coyukiat said.

Targeting completion in early 2026, Pioneer House BGC includes 20 floors of office spaces, 5 podium parking floors, 1-3 high-ceiling retail floors and 3 levels of basement parking. It has also over 23,400 square meters floor space with flexible unit cuts for small and large office requirements, a helipad, garden balconies, and a rooftop garden.

Pioneer’s goal is to offer spaces where businesses can thrive, while providing pockets of greenery throughout the building where employees and guests can feel energized,” Coyukiat added.

Pioneer House BGC will be the 5th Pioneer House and the latest addition to the growing property portfolio of the company, which includes the LEED Gold-certified Pioneer House Manila, Pioneer House Makati, Pioneer House Cebu, and the LEED Platinum-certified Pioneer House Cagayan De Oro, the first of its kind in Visayas and Mindanao.
