It’s a Binary Day!

Binary System

Binary System

A binary number system is mainly composed of zeroes (0) and ones (1). And today, being Oct 01, 2011, (10-01-11) can be considered binary in form in one of its calendar representation.

Did you know that the world’s computers, in it’s rawest level of understanding, can only read and understand series of 0s and 1s? Hence, theoretically, every value has a corresponding equivalent sequence of zeroes and ones. (ie: the decimal value 8 can be represented as ‘1000‘ in binary).

Yes, the old movie matrix with flowing 1s and 0s on walls and virtually everything actually has sense and basis of concept.

It’s trivial actually. :) It’s just that it’s Blogger Manila‘s month of anniversary as well. The first anniversary, which is 10 days later, is also binary – 101011.
