Converse rocked the sneaker universe, opening 2016 with its Converse Spring Summer Press Preview the other day. Converse Philippines showcased the latest sneaker collection featuring the Chuck Taylor All Star Footwear, Cons, and Jack Purcell at Pineapple Lab in Makati City, a few days ago.

The new collection explores innovative materials, bold patterns, bright colors and woven textures that forebodes the feeling of summer and spring. Add to that the new apparel collection in the same sphere.

New Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Collection

From all the three collections of Chuck Taylor All Star Footwear, Cons, and Jack Purcell, it was the former which caught Blogger Manila‘s attention the most. Perhaps it was Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II‘s continued push for innovation made evident through the use of new materials and prints.

Now, let’s give a rundown of some of the highlights during the press review in order of their availability throughout 2016.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Sex Pistols

You might have heard about this already by now as Converse celebrates the legendary band, Sex Pistols, with the new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Sex Pistols collaboration which is out this month – January 2016!

The collection features colors, materials and graphics inspired by the band’s iconic style and album art. It features details such as stitch detailing and graphic overlays. Each style includes the iconic Sex Pistols logo on the tongue of the sneaker as well as in the foot bed. The apparel collection combines elevated fabrics and graphic executions that also represent the spirit of the Sex Pistols.

As the name suggests, this model features a reflective print that enhances visibility in dark environments. The collection includes a classic camouflage print and repeat star print.  The new reflective material compliments existing innovative features like Lunarlon insole cushioning, padded non-slip tongue and super soft micro-suede lining.

With an SRP of Php 3,990, it will be available starting March 2016 in colors: Sandy, White, Black

Just in case the rainy season in the Philippines mixes with “summer“, then your’re prepared with the new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Rubber Low Top.

It offers the water resistance desired during the rainy spring season in monochromatic colors. A gusseted tongue allows for protection from rain and puddles, and they added a new molded EVA sock liner for additional comfort when trekking through the elements.

By this time, the rainy season has really befallen the Philippines and the iridescent shimmer on the rain soaked pavement served as the perfect inspiration for the women’s Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Iridescent Leather.
