Mobile Marketers Converge at the CMO Mobile Summit
It was a day of mobile marketing and networking as industry experts from different parts of Asia convened to talk about the future of mobile marketing in the recently held CMO Mobile Summit.
I trooped all the way from north of Metro Manila in Quezon City down to the south in Taguig where the 1st Philippine CMO Mobile Summit was held. I made sure I’m not letting this opportunity to hear the insights shared by key leaders in the mobile marketing sector pass. Over 300 CMOs, Directors, Group Heads, Product Heads, and Digital Champions of top multinationals and local companies in the country packed the Blue Leaf in McKineley Hill, Taguig City.
Some of the notable speakers who shared their knowledge include Google’s SEA Head of Strategic Partnership, Sergio Salvador, and Singtel’s Head of Strategy and Business Development for Global Advertising, Craig Law-Smith. Get the complete list of speakers and full program from here.
The talk which struck me most was the one from Aliza Knox of Twitter‘s Managing Director for Online Sales APAC. She discussed about using mobile and social in driving results.
As a social media consultant in the Philippines, I got significant insights from the deck she shared on a number of statistics both local and international in scope.
Mobext’s Head fro APAC and Co-Chairman of the CMO Mobile Summit, Arthur Policarpio stressed,” With the help of the summit, I hope CMOs in the country will be confident enough to utilize mobile in their marketing initiatives. Mobile has high penetration in the country and it’s high time that marketers start using it to their advantage.“
Co-organizer and E-Learning Edge CEO and Co-Director of Certified Digital Marketing Program by the Institute for International Digital Marketing, Hans Roxas-Chua shared,” As support to the tremendous result mobile has delivered as a key medium in the marketing mix and due to the overwhelming support of the CMOs in the country, we plan to conduct the CMO Mobile Summit every year to be able to consistently upkeep our CMOs as to how mobile initiatives fare in marketing and advertising.”

With the continuing rise in usage of mobile technology in the Philippines and around the globe, indeed the future of mobile marketing is bright and has a big room for growth. See you in next year’s CMO Mobile Summit 2014!
