iBlog7 Highlights
The 2-day 7th Philippine Blogging Summit – iBlog7 was another success held last April 1 & 2, 2011 at Malcolm Theater in UP Diliman.
As expected, more than half of the attendees were newbie bloggers hungry to learn the ropes in and from within the blogging community. I myself was able to chat with some of them on the second day and they were eager on the new things they learned from the different topics.
Aside from the different speakers who discussed a wide range of topics, Janette Toral‘s personal message with regards to the proposed National Bloggers Association was one of the highlights for Day1.
Day-2 had almost the same number of attendees. I was glad that the audience responded well on my Blogging 101 talk. I focused on the relevance of blogging and blogger traits.
I also made sure to get a photo with the participants who won 4 mugs I gave away care of SolidHosting.ph and Angel Printshoppe. Take care of them guys, they’re limited edition memorabilia I myself don’t have; that’s how limited it is.
Moving forward, it was Roy Dela Cruz‘ talk on Writers’ Block which totally rocked the house. Hats off to Roy’s punchlines.
Other highlights were Mike Abundo‘s comeback in the afternoon after missing him in day 1.
Together with Marcelle Fabie, they got a special recognition for having attended all of iBlog since the first year.
Cheers to Samsung who supported the blogger summit. They showcased the Samsung Tab and the Samsung LED 9000 Smart TV.
For those who know Batang Yagit, I believe you would notice something much different from this fashionable statement by Winston Almendras.
The ever-rare Jehzeel of Jehzlau Concepts also showed up in the last minute. I just had to have a photo with the great Jehzlau.
See you next year in iBlog8.

I’ve never attended any blog events. By the looks it’s very interesting. Congratulations!
It is my first time to finally attend iBLOG7 after being guilty of registering in all previous iBLOGS (Working Mom here).
But nevertheless it is about time to spread my wings, meet new bloggers and learn from others
sana makapunta me sa iblog8.
