In a recent blog published by Fashion Pulis, it revealed a controversial statement by Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla pertaining to the current issue and scandal of the alleged misuse of Philippine funds in the form of the officials’ ‘pork barrel‘.

When asked about her thoughts on the suggested removal of the pork barrel from the Congress and the Senate, the wife of Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla, Jr. exclaimed:
If this is true, I think the response of Cong. Lani Mercado-Revilla was at the very least unethical for a public servant; specially that the issue at hand involve a lot of personalities including her family being linked to the controversial Janet Lim-Napoles.
It mocks her constituents in Cavite and the public. The same people whom she supposedly serves.

To that statement, as a citizen of the Philippines, my response is:
I was surprised when I first heard about the Meralco Rate Decrease, especially since
